The Juniper began when we stumbled across a tired old motel in the heart of Wisconsin Dells — the kind with good bones but a story ready for a new chapter. We saw past the faded paint and worn carpets to the potential beneath: a modern, boutique escape where guests could dive into the buzz of the Dells by day, then retreat to something calm, personal, and just a little magical at night.

When we found this property tucked beneath the pines — surrounded by juniper trees dotted with delicate blue berries — we saw more than a motel. We saw potential for a modern boutique escape that blends thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and the grounding beauty of nature.

We’ve reimagined the rooms with earthy textures, minimalist comfort, and small details that make a big impact. The cabins are next, set for a full renovation over fall and winter. And in 2026, our completely rebuilt pool will open for a summer of sun, swims, and memories in the making.
